STUDENT WORKSHOP ON FILM PRODUCTION ANNOUNCED

 


TOTOWA  – Passaic County Film Commission is sponsoring a free student workshop on short film and video production 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, October 24 at the offices of the Passaic County Economic Development Department.


High school and university students as well as independent filmmakers are invited to attend.


The workshop will be held in Suite 250 at the Totowa Business Center, 930 Riverview Drive, Totowa.


The workshop will feature the basics of short film and video production taught by Film Commission members in the industry.  


Topic includes script writing, proper equipment use, shooting the film and postproduction tips.


The workshop will provide a review of the rules and regulations of the Passaic County Film Festival, which will be held Saturday, April 17, 2010. Film entries for the festival must be received by Friday, January 29, 2010.


The Passaic County Film Commission encourages entrants to the festival to attend the workshop. Those who do not attend the workshop may still enter films.
