FOOD WASTE RECYCLING PROGRAM OFFERED



WAYNE   - Passaic County Office of Recycling and Natural Resource Programs will conduct a joint program on food waste recycling with Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 8.


The free program will be held at Morris County Public Safety Training Academy, 500 West Hanover Avenue, Parsippany.


The program, “Save Today, Save Tomorrow” will explore alternatives to throwing unwanted food in the garbage.


Food service and cafeteria managers from hotels, universities, grocery stores and large restaurants are invited to attend.


Participants will learn about a variety of food waste recycling options and learn how to set up a commercial food waste recycling program.


Local food waste composters and haulers will discuss ways to reduce garbage and garbage bills.


Real-world case studies will aid participants in weighing the variety of food waste recycling options available to them.

Participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food donation for Interfaith Food Pantry.
