Community Development Block Grant,
HOME Investment Partnership Training
Wednesday, Oct. 15, 10 a.m.
SOMERVILLE Potential applicants for 2009 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Program funds through the Somerset County Community Development Office are invited to a training session Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m. on the first floor of the Human Services Building at 27 Warren St.
Only nonprofit entities and municipal agencies located in or providing services within Somerset County are eligible for the CDBG and HOME programs. Grants are not made to individuals.
The purpose of the grant funds is to develop viable communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment and expanded economic opportunities. The funds mainly must benefit persons of low and moderate income. Municipal housing rehabilitation will not be addressed at this meeting.
Agencies that provide services to residents of Franklin Township should contact Bonnie vonOhlen at 732-873-2500 ext. 242 for information on Franklin Townships CDBG Program.
Parking is available in the parking deck on Veterans Memorial Drive, beside the Human Services Building.
