Community Development Block Grant,

HOME Investment Partnerships Program

Application Workshop

Wednesday, Oct. 14, 10 a.m.

 

SOMERVILLE – Potential applicants for 2010 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds through the Somerset County Community Development Office are invited to an Application Workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m. on the first floor of the Human Services Building at 27 Warren St.

 

The purpose of the grant funds is to develop viable communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment and expanded economic opportunities.  Funding under these programs is intended to primarily benefit   individuals and families with low and moderate incomes. Municipal housing rehabilitation will not be addressed at this meeting.

 

            Only nonprofit entities and municipal agencies located in or providing services within Somerset County are eligible for the grant funding.  Grants are not made to individuals. 

 

Agencies that provide services to residents of Franklin Township should contact Tom Cross at 732-873-2500 ext. 259 for information on the Franklin Township CDBG program.

 

Parking is available in the parking deck on Veterans Memorial Drive, adjacent to the Human Services Building.
