Somerset County Clerk's Office Cancels

Evening Hours Before Holidays

SOMERVILLE - The Somerset County Clerk's Office, located in the county Administration Building at 20 Grove St., will close at 4 p.m. on two Wednesday evenings prior to holidays.

The County Clerk’s Office will close at 4 p.m. on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, Nov. 25, and on Wednesday, Dec. 23.

Office hours are normally 8:15 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and extended until 6 p.m. on Wednesday evenings.

County offices will be closed in observance of Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27. County departments also will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 24, Friday, Dec. 25, and New Year’s Day, Friday, Jan 1. The County Clerk’s Office will remain open until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30.

The Somerset County Clerk's Office administers oath to notaries public, processes passport applications, issues ID cards to county residents under age 21 and records land records and related legal documents that deal with land situated in Somerset County.
