Freeholders Announce Winners of 4-H Fair Drawings
Lady Luck touched 51 people who were awarded prizes in drawings at the Freeholder/Public Information booth at the recent annual Somerset County 4-H Fair. Prizes were donated by local businesses and organizations and presented courtesy of the Somerset County Board of Freeholders. Drawings were held after the fair.
“We’re pleased that so many people from our county, neighboring counties and out of state enjoyed this year’s 4-H Fair and visited the Government Tents,” said Freeholder Director Denise Coyle. “We are grateful to the Vocational-Technical Schools Foundation, the Park Commission, Raritan Valley Community College and the many generous local businesses that provided prize donations for our drawing at the fair.”
Two prizes were donated by Curves for Women. Jessie Van Allen of Martinsville won a gift membership to Curves for Women in Manville and Anna Rooney of Bridgewater won a membership to Curves for Women in Hillsborough.
Jacob Levering of Flemington won a pair of tickets to any Major Artist or Merck Series performance at the Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College. Tickets were donated by the college.
Additionally, Janet Andreyko of Manville won dinner for two donated by Willie’s Tavern in Bedminster; Cathy Gottesman of Middlesex won hair products donated by Heads Up Haircutters in Martinsville and Rob Bayait of Somerville won a pocket dictionary donated by Borders Books & Music in Bridgewater.
Ed Weber of Hillsborough won a $25 gift certificate to Learning Express in Hillsborough and Tom Flynn of Branchburg won a $25 gift certificate to The Dessert Plate, a scratch bakery in Somerville. Gift certificates were donated by the stores.
Steve Vennemeyer of Hillsborough, Frank Prenenski of Bridgewater, Jordyn Moore of Manville and Bruce McWhorter Jr. of Bridgewater won four leisure pursuit cards donated by the Somerset County Park Commission for their many programs.
Ten people received four tickets to a Somerset Patriots game donated by the Somerset Patriots. Winners were Beth Coriswold of Hillsborough; Carla Marano of Green Brook; Stanley Meiek of Bridgewater; Yana Rodgers of Belle Mead; Tom Rusowicz of Manville; Lisa Van Oden of Flemington; Francis Zupko of Middlesex; and Roberta Higginbottom, B. Lane and Jessica Tkach of Bound Brook.
Also, 13 people won pairs of tickets to the Jazz in Bridgewater Concert Series, donated by the Vocational and Technical Schools Foundation. Lucky winners were Kathy Faulks of South Bound Brook; Beth Wiedemann of Bound Brook; Melissa Ribaudo of Raritan; Richard Leach Jr. of Old Bridge; Christopher Luciano, Denise Ford, Dina, and Sandra Alexander of Bridgewater; Cristhian Zamerano of Wayne; Rona Stem of White House; and Alexandra Von Nessen, Pat Roselli, and Judy Lavoie of Hillsborough.
In addition, 17 visitors to the fair won 2004 4-H Fair T-shirts.
