Project Description

The applicant, Pollock Financial Group (PFG), is proposing to convert an existing 48,400-square-foot office building from general office use to medical office use in the C-1 (Administrative and Professional, Restrictive) zoning district. The project requires the following applications:

  1. Use Permit: The conversion from general office use to medical office use requires a use permit in the C-1 zoning district because there are no permitted uses allowed in the district.
  2. Architectural Control: Design review of the proposed exterior modifications to update the facade of the building.
  3. Heritage Tree Removal: Remove heritage trees and plant new trees
  4. Environmental Impact Report

Required Review

The proposed project will require review and approval by the Planning Commission.

Environmental Review

The proposed project requires environmental review pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act. A Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) was prepared and circulated for comments. The Response to Comments (Final EIR) will be available for review as of 3 p.m. on October 6, 2006.

Current Status

Throughout the process, there will be multiple opportunities for public input.

  • Draft EIR comment review period: July 17 - August 31, 2006
  • Planning Commission public hearing to receive comments on the Draft EIR and requested applications: July 31, 2006
  • Final EIR (Response to Comments) comment review period: October 10 - October 23, 2006
  • Planning Commission public hearing to take action on the Final EIR and requested applications:  October 23, 2006
